It all started with a dream…

Keene Sense started with a dream. Growing up, I was the kid who always asked, “What if”. My curiosity morphed into a love of creating something new from items I could find. As a young mother, I would make dolls and teddy bears for my two beautiful little girls. I also refinished furniture so my daughters would have unique spaces of their own. As they grew, my focus was on their activities so my creative side was temporarily paused.

As all little girls do, mine grew up, married and got homes of their own. Their weddings were beautiful (ok, I am a bit biased). Together, we pulled off not one but two back yard receptions, with custom decorations and delicious homemade food. When they were young, my creativity was fueled more by sticking to a budget - as they grew into lovely young ladies, it shifted to being unique. It makes me feel so proud that they too are using their talents to create.

I always loved to make people smile and what better way than to help you make your home even more personal. I worked in non-profit for most of my career and even though it was fulfilling, I always had a dream that I would have my own business. Keene Sense is that dream come true.

My pups can often be found where I am working. Fiona is a Havanese mix and Luigi is a Yorkie - both adopted . Once they joined our family, my husband and I can’t remember a time without them. .
